LOS ANGELES — LAFC continued its strong run of form Sunday night with a convincing victory over Sporting Kansas City at BMO Stadium.
After several early chances, LAFC finally broke through late in the first half behind another dangerous attacking sequence involving Denis Bouanga. The home side continued to pressure Sporting KC throughout the night, creating wave after wave of opportunities while controlling possession and tempo.
LAFC’s set pieces once again proved dangerous as Eddie Segura added another goal off a corner kick before Bouanga converted from the penalty spot in the second half to extend the lead. Sporting KC struggled to slow down LAFC’s movement in transition, especially once Bouanga found open space down the wings.
Late in the match, Olivier Giroud capped off the performance with a goal after a fast-moving attacking sequence started by Bouanga, putting the finishing touch on another dominant LAFC night in front of the home crowd.
The win extended LAFC’s unbeaten run and continued their momentum heading into a busy stretch of the season.
