LOS ANGELES — LAFC delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, defeating Sporting Kansas City 4-0 behind goals from Son, David Martínez, and a Denis Bouanga brace.
The hosts opened the scoring early when Son capitalized on a defensive mistake, calmly finishing to score for a third consecutive match. Bouanga doubled the advantage on the counterattack after racing onto a long ball before Martínez added a third just before halftime, cutting inside onto his left foot and finishing confidently after a quick transition.
LAFC continued to control the match after the break, limiting Sporting KC’s attacking chances while Hugo Lloris made a key save to preserve the clean sheet. Bouanga put the game beyond doubt late in the second half, smashing home his second goal of the night after a well-worked attacking move.
