The sleek white and gold design wasn’t just about looks — it carried a deeper purpose. Proceeds from the match were donated to support wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles. The kit itself paid tribute to the city, with “Los Angeles Fire Department” proudly featured across the chest, symbolizing solidarity with first responders and families impacted by the recent fires.

But the night wasn’t just about the kit — it ended with a win. After a scoreless first half, LAFC capitalized on a defensive mistake by Club América just seconds into the second, with Bouanga putting the home side ahead. LAFC kept the momentum going, and Nathan Ordaz doubled the lead in the 60th minute. While Club América pulled one back shortly after, it wasn’t enough, as LAFC held on for a solid 2–1 victory to close out their preseason.
