HOUSTON — Houston Dynamo FC played FC Cincinnati to a 2-2 draw Saturday night, September 19th at Shell Energy Stadium with an attendance of 17,941 fans. Guilherme opened the scoring unassisted in the 38th minute, giving Houston a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Houston Dynamo extended its lead in the second half when Mateusz Bogusz scored the second goal in the 51st minute with a penalty kick. Cincinnati responded in the 73rd minute with a goal from Bryan Ramirez, cutting Houston’s lead to 2-1. Cincinnati completed the comeback in the 97th minute of extra time, with Kévin Denkey scoring from the penalty spot to level the match at 2-2. Cincinnati controlled more of the possession throughout the match and recorded more shots on target. The Houston Dynamo let a 2-0 lead slip away but remains in second place in the Western Conference with 44 points.
