CARSON — LAFC took care of business on the road Friday night, defeating the LA Galaxy 3-0 in the first El Tráfico meeting of the 2026 season at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Mark Delgado opened the scoring in the 26th minute, heading home a cross from Jacob Shaffelburg that deflected off Galaxy defender Jakob Glesnes before he poked in the rebound. It marked Delgado's second goal of the season and his first against his former club, for whom he played from 2022 to 2024.
Denis Bouanga doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time, converting a penalty kick after Justin Haak fouled him in the box. It was Bouanga's sixth goal of the season and 11th in all competitions, both team highs.
Son Heung-Min sealed the win in the 57th minute, scoring his first MLS goal of 2026 after going 45 shots without finding the net over his first 13 league appearances this season. It was his first goal in an El Tráfico appearance and his 26th goal contribution (13 goals, 13 assists) in 27 MLS matches, including playoffs, since joining LAFC in August 2025.
Hugo Lloris made two saves to secure the clean sheet, his ninth of the season. Novak Mićović made three saves for the Galaxy.
