NASHVILLE — Music City hosted CF Montréal on Wednesday night at GEODIS Park. NSC picked up three points with a 1-0 win after a PK by Sam Surridge. Nashville moves to 8W-0L-1D at home, marking them as the only unbeaten home team in MLS this season.
Super Sam Surridge (Man of the Match) saved the night after drawing a penalty and finding the back of the net in the 68th minute of play - celebrating his 10th goal of the MLS season. On the other end of the pitch, Brian Schwake extended his clean sheet streak to eight. The first in NSC history to record eight shutouts in the team’s first 16 regular season matches.
Coach Callaghan maintains the “next man up” mentality while Nashville survives another tight match with several players remaining off of the active roster. Christian Espinoza, Reed Baker-Whiting, Warren Madrigal, and Patrick Yazbek sidelined due to injury.
