TAMPA — Coming off an upset win in their friendly against Manchester United, Wrexham were poised to make some noise for their USA Tour. Further proving their quality and showing they have what it takes to be a premier league club in the distant future. Tonight they faced a test against Leeds FC, a club who has found recent success along with staying up in the Premier League.
The game began with a goal from Kieffer Moore in the 1st minute! The Wrexham lead lasted 28 more minutes before Joel Piroe found the Leeds equalizer. Half time ended with another goal for each club. Bailey Cadamateri in the 40th minute for Wrexham followed by a strike from Sean Longstaff in the 45th minute.
While the first half was a frenzy of goals the 2nd half was much slower and felt a bit more like a Friendly. Harry Wilson made his debut for Leeds FC coming on at the start of the 2nd half. The Welsh international kept Leeds into the match till Wrexham brought on Sam Smith. Smith bagged the winner in the 85th minute. Smith scored the winning goal in the friendly against Manchester along with one against Leeds, back to back friendlies. Wrexham's hopes and expectations remain high as they continue their USA tour, facing Liverpool next at Yankee Stadium.
