SAN DIEGO — San Diego Wave FC earned a dramatic 2-1 victory over Bay FC on Sunday night in a match filled with dangerous chances, big saves, and late drama at Snapdragon Stadium.

San Diego struck first early in the match after Kennedy Wesley rose above the defense and powered home a header off a corner kick in the sixth minute. The Wave looked dangerous throughout the opening half, especially through the creativity and pace of Delphine Cascarino down the wing.

Bay FC responded midway through the half when Caroline Conti Lima finished a smooth attacking move to level the match at 1-1. The visitors gained confidence after the equalizer, but San Diego continued creating chances and nearly regained the lead several times before halftime.

The second half stayed wide open with both sides pushing forward. Bay FC had a massive opportunity to take the lead from the penalty spot, but goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz came up with a huge save to keep the score level. Moments later, Cascarino nearly scored herself, rattling the crossbar during another dangerous Wave attack.

As the match looked destined to end in a draw, San Diego found one final breakthrough late in the game. A dangerous corner delivery created chaos inside the box before the ball bounced into the net, sending the home crowd into celebration and securing three important points for the Wave.

The win pushed San Diego further up the NWSL standings and capped off an energetic performance built on pressure, wide play, and strong set-piece execution.
