Emmanuel Sabbi’s early goal in the 20th minute was enough to seal the win for the visitors, despite LAFC controlling most of the game and outshooting Vancouver 15–5.

The match was also the final appearance for Olivier Giroud, who started and played an hour in his LAFC farewell. David Ochoa made his club debut in goal, while Denis Bouanga was kept quiet despite his usual attacking presence.

The loss ends LAFC’s nine-game unbeaten run in MLS play and drops their season record to 7-5-5.
