AUSTIN — Austin FC battled to a draw against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night at Q2 Stadium. Colorado scored first in the 22nd minute by Paxton Aaronson, striking a volley.

Due to this, Austin FC were eager to score, so during second half they increased pressure with 50.3% possession and took a total of 12 shots towards goal compared to Colorado’s 11.

They ended up equaling the battle in the 79th minute when Facundo Torres scored from Zan Kolmanic cross. They unfortunately couldn’t find a breakthrough although they fought hard from both teams pushing for a potential game-winning goal.

Austin was recorded with 3 shots on target, but Colorado finished with 5 shots on target.
