DALLAS — FC Dallas returned home for the first time in nearly four months and delivered a thrilling 4-3 victory over Sporting Kansas City in front of 10,925 fans.
Sporting Kansas City took control early, building a two-goal lead within the opening 20 minutes through goals from Calheira and Afrifa. However, Dallas refused to back down, responding with three goals to complete an incredible turnaround before halftime and head into the break with the advantage.
Sporting Kansas City found their way back into the match in the second half when Calheira struck again in the 78th minute to level the score at 3-3. But FC Dallas had one final response, as Musa stepped up to convert a penalty kick for his second goal of the night and the winning goal. His brace secured all three points for Dallas and saw him tie FC Dallas’ single-season goal-scoring record once again, with 11 regular-season matches still remaining.
