LOS ANGELES — LAFC and the Vancouver Whitecaps battled to a 1-1 draw at BMO Stadium. The match started with an early setback for Vancouver after Tristan Blackmon received a red card, leaving the Whitecaps with 10 players. Despite being a man down, Vancouver continued to fight and managed to take a 1-0 lead in the first half after capitalizing on a rebound inside the box.

LAFC came out stronger in the second half, quickly finding the equalizer through Denis Bouanga. Just seconds after the restart, Bouanga connected with a cross from Sergi Palencia and sent a powerful header into the net. LAFC continued to create opportunities, with Bouanga remaining a constant threat to Vancouver’s defense. He nearly gave LAFC the lead with another goal, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Despite having the advantage for most of the match, LAFC struggled to find the winning goal. Vancouver remained organized defensively and held on for a valuable point on the road. As the MLS regular season draws to a close, the result showed Vancouver’s determination while leaving LAFC searching for more consistency heading into the final stretch.
