NASHVILLE — Another win at home. Nashville continued its winning streak with a vengeful match up on Saturday vs Toronto for GEODIS Park’s celebration of Harry Potter night. Hany Mukhtar carried NSC to a 2-0 win against the Reds.
In the 16th minute of the match, Hany Mukhtar became only the 16th player in MLS history to score 100 career league goals. With an assist from Christian Espinoza and Elias Saad, Mukhtar found the net from inside the box. Moments before the half, he did it again, scoring this time from outside the box in the 43rd.
Goalkeeper Joe Willis returned to start for NSC between the sticks for the first time this 2026 season. Making three saves and a clean sheet, Willis earned himself the Man of the Match.
Several National Team call ups for the Boys in Gold: Famara Camara (Senegal’s U23 National Team), Ahmed Qasem (Iraq’s Men’s National Football team), Brian Schwake (United States Men’s National Team), Xavier Valdez (Federación Dominicana de Fútbol Team), and Patrick Yazbek (Australian Men’s National Team) are currently away from the club.
Nashville maintained their spot on top of the MLS leaderboard by 10 points and will travel to Texas to face Austin FC next on October 10 at Q2 Stadium.
