ORLANDO CITY SC 1-2 CHICAGO FIRE FC

Att. 20,102 • Inter.co Stadium

ORLANDO — This match was one circled on every MLS fan's list since the arrival of Robert Lewandowski to the Chicago Fire. A clash between 2 of the greatest attackers of the modern era, Antoine Griezmann of Orlando and Robert Lewandowski of Chicago. All on a fateful night in Orlando at Inter.co stadium with 20,102 raging fans in the stands making all sorts of Ruckus.

Both teams wore their new throwback kits repping club heritage, Orlando in red and chicago with a more sleek vintage look than their usual white kits. The game began hot with a quick goal from Chicago's Puso Dithejane in the 4th minute. The game reached a stalemate till in the 43rd minute when a lightning delay was declared.

After an hour and a half of waiting out mother nature the players returned to play. The game was quiet till an Antoine Griezmann corner was served on a platter for David Brekalo to finish in the 54th minute. The equalizer wouldn't last though as who else but Robert Lewandowski took the lead with a penalty in the 68th minute.

Even after many chances Orlando couldn't find another goal. Leading the game to go in the way of Lewy and the Fire, the Fire remain comfortable in the east sitting in 3rd place. While Orlando's throats tighten just a little bit more as they still remain in 10th, just out of playoff position. The Lions are 3 points behind DC United and hope to inch closer to sneaking into the postseason when they face Real Salt Lake in Orlando this Saturday.
