ORLANDO — The Orlando Pride earned a 3-1 victory over the Houston Dash on Sunday night at Inter&Co Stadium, snapping their recent losing streak and earning an important win following the departure of head coach Seb Hines.
The Pride opened the scoring in the 14th minute through an own goal after Barbra Banda created an opportunity in the box. Banda then doubled Orlando’s lead from the penalty spot in the 44th minute.
Haley McCutcheon extended the Pride’s advantage to 3-0 in the 64th minute, while Houston responded with a goal from Kiki Van Zanten in the 72nd.
Orlando held on for the 3-1 victory, giving the Pride a much needed three points and a strong response during a period of transition.
