SEATTLE — The Seattle Sounders and New York Red Bulls had a Saturday night matchup with 31,691 fans in attendance. The Sounders, second to last in the Western Conference, while the Red Bulls stand 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Both teams took to the pitch with high energy, both teams taking exquisite shots on goal. Both goaltenders, Thomas and Horvath answered each call. Anxious fans awaiting the golden opportunity for the Sounders were cheering at the near opening goal from Rusnak. Unfortunately, those scoring opportunities did not land for either side, and the game went scoreless into halftime.

The second half quickly turned into the battle of the goalkeepers. Both had some outstanding saves. Morris and Roldan both made appearances in the second, after coming off injuries. It’s safe to say the rave green was ecstatic to witness Roldan’s appearance.

After a long fight, the match ended in a draw.
